How to use it

  1. Pick the month and the bank where the export money lands.
  2. Add every export invoice dated in that month for that bank, with the exchange rate for the invoice date (for example the FBIL/RBI reference rate), so the form can show the INR total.
  3. Fix anything the checklist flags, then print or save the PDF.
  4. Sign and date Part 4, and file it with your bank with the documents it asks for.

Good to know

  • One EDF covers all of a month's invoices for one bank, due within 30 days after the month ends.
  • Leave "Form No." blank unless your bank gives you a number. Some banks have their own template or want an invoice-wise annexure; ask yours.
  • The money must arrive within 9 months of the invoice date (12 if invoiced in rupees). Part 4 shows the earliest of those dates.
