Recommendations

  • Ask your home branch which forex branch handles your EDF and whether email submission is accepted; get the answer in writing.
  • No FEMA 23(R) policy/SOP was found under Policies & Codes or Regulatory Disclosures on 4 Oct 2026. Re-check before relying on any channel.
  • FIRC is cheap here (Rs 100), so collect one per remittance as GST export evidence.
  • Ask your branch or relationship manager how it wants the monthly EDF for services. Most banks take it at the branch or through the relationship manager; business customers may be able to use a trade portal.
  • Ask whether it accepts PAN when you don't have an IEC.
  • Take the printed EDF, the covering letter, copies of the invoices and any FIRA / e-FIRC.
  • Your bank must publish its export policy on its website (Reg. 19). Look for "export" or "FEMA" policy documents there.
