How to file with The South Indian Bank Ltd.

We haven't confirmed this bank's EDF procedure yet.

No services-EDF channel published. The bank handles export documents through branches; expect to hand the signed EDF to the home branch. Bank website (southindianbank.bank.in) blocks automated access, so the Reg. 19 policy could not be checked.

Recommendations

  • Before the first deadline (30 Nov 2026 for October invoices), ask your branch in writing which office receives services EDFs and whether a PAN-only individual (no IEC) is accepted.
  • Keep the e-FIRC (Rs 500) only if you need it for GST/LUT evidence; the IRM/e-BRC is free.
  • Give a clear purpose code (for example P0802 software consultancy, P1006 business consultancy) with each inward remittance so it can be matched to your EDF.
  • Ask your branch or relationship manager how it wants the monthly EDF for services. Most banks take it at the branch or through the relationship manager; business customers may be able to use a trade portal.
  • Ask whether it accepts PAN when you don't have an IEC.
  • Take the printed EDF, the covering letter, copies of the invoices and any FIRA / e-FIRC.
  • Your bank must publish its export policy on its website (Reg. 19). Look for "export" or "FEMA" policy documents there.
