Recommendations

  • One of the few banks here whose own pages name freelancers/consultants as eligible for inward remittances and individuals for EEFC.
  • File a Disposal Instruction with a services purpose code. Ask the branch where the monthly EDF goes, as no Reg. 19 policy was found as of 4 Oct 2026.
  • Budget Rs 250 + GST per receipt; batch client payments where possible.
  • Ask your branch or relationship manager how it wants the monthly EDF for services. Most banks take it at the branch or through the relationship manager; business customers may be able to use a trade portal.
  • Ask whether it accepts PAN when you don't have an IEC.
  • Take the printed EDF, the covering letter, copies of the invoices and any FIRA / e-FIRC.
  • Your bank must publish its export policy on its website (Reg. 19). Look for "export" or "FEMA" policy documents there.
